In the spring of 2020 one door closed and the world of creativity opened my eyes!

Hello. My name is Julie and I am the Artist behind Downpour Designs LLC.

I began my passion for art in the makeup industry. From a young age I loved playing with color, and makeup was my first introduction to unbridled creativity. After college I went to beauty school and wanted to pursue my makeup career further, but life had other plans. I spent a lot of years doing what every adult finds they have to do; make money to pay bills. When COVID shut down the world around me, I started to open my eyes to a whole new form of expression through Acrylic Art. Like so many before me, I started off small and emulated other artists to gain knowledge and experience. Three years later, I have more paint supplies than the craft stores, no remaining untouched space in my house, and freedom to express myself through art! I would describe my art as a unique encapsulation of me. I continue to learn and grow in my art every time I touch a canvas or pick up a jar of pigment, and I would love to create a one-of-a-kind piece for you!
